Copying LoopOS files to micro SD card

If you elect to not purchase an upgrade SD card from DSID, you must follow these steps to copy files onto the original micro SD card that came with your system.

Please note, this process must be completed for each micro SD card of each system being upgraded. So if you have 3 systems, you will need to complete this process 3 times.


Windows Guide

  1. Insert the micro SD card into your card reader and connect to your desktop computer.

  2. Open File Explorer and navigate to the micro SD card directory.

  1. Delete all files from the micro SD card.

  1. Download the LoopOS files from THIS LINK.
  1. Extract the downloaded zip file.
  • 6. Copy the contents onto the micro SD card.

  1. Safely remove the micro SD card from the desktop computer.
  2. Continue with step 6 of phase 1 of the upgrade process.

MacOS Guide


  1. Insert the micro SD card into your card reader and connect to your Mac computer.

  1. Navigate to the SD card directory in Finder.

  1. Select the entire contents of the SD card and delete it.

  1. Empty the Trash on your Mac.

  1. Download the LoopOS files from this link.

  1. Select the files from the downloaded folder and copy them to the SD card.

  1. Eject the SD card from your Mac once the files have copied over.
  2. Continue with step 5 of phase 1 of the upgrade process.
