This guide will walk you through unpacking, connecting, and pairing your BrightSign media player with your DSID account.
Your DSID Package Includes:
BrightSign media player (with pre-installed 128GB memory card)
Power adapter
HDMI cable

Step 1: Connect Power
Plug the power adapter into a standard 2-prong outlet.
Tip: Using a surge protector is recommended.
Connect the other end of the adapter to your BrightSign player.
Confirm that the device is receiving power. A red light will indicate it is powered on.
Step 2: Connect HDMI
Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the single HDMI port next to the power connection on your BrightSign.
Connect the other end to:
Your TV (for direct setups), or
A splitter or transmitter (for multiple screens).
Step 3: Connect to the Internet (Required)
Ethernet (Recommended):
Plug your network cable into the BrightSign’s LAN port and connect the other end to your router or network switch.
WiFi (Add-On):
You must specify WiFi connectivity prior to the shipment of your device as a WiFi adapter must be pre-installed and pre-configured for the device.
The device will automatically connect when powered on using the credentials you provided to our support team prior to shipping.
Step 4: Placement Options
Behind a TV: Ideal for simple, single-screen setups.
Server rack: Recommended for complex setups with multiple screens.
Step 5: Pairing Your Device
Once online, the BrightSign will display a pairing code on the screen.
Log in to your DSID account.
Contact our support team if you’re unsure of your login credentials.
Navigate to the Locations tab.
Click the plus (+) icon to pair a new device.
Enter the pairing code exactly as shown on the TV screen (case sensitive) and click Add.
Give the device a descriptive name related to its location or purpose.
Step 6: Adding Content
Go to the Browse tab in your DSID account.
Select videos relevant to your practice and add them to your Lineup.
Navigate to the Loop tab.
Choose a Loop Template or build a Loop from scratch.
Set the Loop schedule.
Always click Update after making changes to ensure content displays correctly on your screen.
Step 7: Verify Playback
Your screen(s) should now display the content included in your Loop.
If content is not appearing, check your connections, internet access, and ensure the Loop is updated or contact our Support Team.
